Excavations of the ancient Emporion (Empuries) lie in the Southern part of the Bay of Roses. Here you may find remains of ancient Greek and Roman cities and museum where archeological findings are preserved and the story of the area is explained in details.

How to Get There

The site lies between picturesque village of San Marti d'Empuries and L'Escala and may be reached from Empuriabrava by car within 20-25 min. It is a pleasant experience to have dinner in one of small restaurants in San Marti d'Empuries after visiting the museum and ruins. The restaurants are located on a town's small square overlooked by XI-th century church.
